One Very Expensive Classic Mini in Mint Condition Surfaces on eBay

The classic Mini is definitely a car that needs to be experienced by each and every petrol or gearhead. It’s an important piece of history that helped shape the industry into the form we know today. Owning one is definitely not a challenge, as it’s a very simple car to work on and mend yourself, though, this example for sale in the US has a buy it now price just shy of $19,000 on eBay.

In Europe, you can still get these, in more desirable left-hand drive and in very good condition for under the equivalent of $2,000, so why this is so expensive is a real mystery – if you want to buy this car, do try haggling to get the number to come down!

The car itself is a 1980 model, with the standard four-speed gearbox and the steering wheel on the British side of the car. However, that’s not really an issue in the old Mini since you can compensate the occasional lack of visibility by repositioning the car on the road (the small dimensions mean you can weave within the confines of one lane).

The owner says the car has been extensively restored, and features tasteful modifications that include an all-new black leather interior with red piping on the seats, custom sound system with navigation, backup camera, aluminum window winders and radiator, power disk brakes, clear rear lights and blinkers and custom fender flares.

It also sports a European look, according to the ad, with the whole bumperless theme of the rear end.
